FIRST SIX MONTHS OF 2010
The first six months of this year were a slight improvement from the previous two years. The number of homes sold grew 65% from the same period in 2009. Our market typically follows the Seattle area market. Similar neighborhoods in Seattle posted gains in the number of homes sold; Capitol Hill +61%, Ballard +21%, Mercer Island +84%.

HOME PRICES
While numbers of sales are up the average and median prices have continued to drop. Sellers have about 2 ½ months of active market time. If they would like a sale this year they must be the best value available. If you have been on the market for more than 30 days, with out a contract in place, a price reduction is probably needed. Sellers are not happy with this news but maybe it helps to know you are not alone.
